The 23rd FIAP Asian International Stamp Exhibition is under the patronage of Federation of Inter Asia Philately (FIAP) and organized by the Hong Kong Philatelic Society. Hongkong Post is the main sponsor for this event. The sponsorship agreement between Hong Kong Philatelic Society and Hongkong Post was signed on 28 August 2008 and the agreement between Federation of Inter Asia Philately (FIAP) and Hong Kong Philatelic Society was signed on 5 September 2008.
Scope:
This is a specialized FIAP exhibition in six exhibition classes only - total 800 exhibition frames tentatively classified as below:
600 frames for competitive class in the Traditional Class, Postal History Class, Thematic Philately Class, Youth Philately Class, One Frame Class and Philatelic Literature Class
100 frames for the Court of Honour
100 frames for 10th Inter-school stamp exhibits
Venue: Hall 5G, Level 5, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wanchai.
Estimated Floor area: 3,000+ sq.m

Sales of stamps/stamp products by local and overseas stamp dealers and overseas postal administrations

Promotional activities:
Leaflets/catalogues/newsletters/bulletin(s) to be prepared and distributed throughout 2008 up to the exhibition period
Ceremonies including new stamps issuing ceremonies, exhibition Opening Ceremony, Welcome Dinner, Palmares Night etc. to be held during the exhibition period
Sales booths:
There will be about 50 booths (2m x 2m) fully furnished with standard fittings available for renting by postal administrations, local and overseas stamp and coin dealers, philatelic clubs and philatelic publishers. Booking before 30 November 2008 HK$25,000 per booth and thereafter HK$30,000. 50% deposit must be paid with reservation and the balance (50%) paid before 31 January 2009. Payment by international bank draft or cheque to the Hong Kong Philatelic Society. Application/allocation of booth will be decided by the organizer whose decision would be final. There will be no refund in the events of withdrawal, cancellation and no show. The booths will be available for moving-in after 2 p.m. on 13 May 2009.
