
The Hong Kong Philatelic Society is the organizer of the exhibition and it is supported by Hongkong Post.
Aim:
The aim of this event is to qualify new exhibits for future international philatelic exhibitions. The status of the show is equivalent to National Stamp Exhibition.
Hong Kong Stampex 2012 celebrates the 150th anniversary of the issuance of Hong Kong stamps. A special Court of Honor will be set up to display Hong Kong stamp exhibits ranging from Queen Victoria period up to the modern period.

Scope:
All FIP exhibition classes are represented. For judging criteria of this class, please refer to the IREX of Hong Kong Stampex 2012 below. The exhibits will be judged by accredited FIAP/FIP Jurors under current FIP regulations and marks will be adjusted to reflect national status of the competition.
The competition can be entered by members of the Hong Kong Philatelic Society and its affiliated philatelic clubs in Hong Kong and by invitation. Entries from FIAP member countries are also welcome.

Closing date for entry:
1 February 2012. Notification of acceptance or rejection shall be sent to the applicants through their respective Commissioners by 10 February 2012 or earlier.

Judging:
Exhibits in the Competitive Classes will be judged by accredited FIP, FIAP, National Jurors and Apprentice Juror (if any). Jury members will be appointed by the HK Stampex 2012 Organising Committee. The exhibits will be judged under FIP regulations and awards given to reflect national status of the exhibition i.e. 5 points will be added to arrive at the appropriate medal level.
