inverted watermark The stamp also features two B62 cancels - one in blue and the other in black. This fetched GBP250 in November 2001 on the internet. Curiously, this lot was either rejected by the buyer or the buyer defaulted and was re-offered in February 02 again. One of the B62 cancel is believed to be a fake. |

Pre-paid letter to Manila 2s2d prepaid being the 1s10d via Marseilles rate plus 4d HK ship letter rate to Manila. Hong Kong type 7 18 Dec. 1850 on reverse arrival datestamp. Most unusal as this is fully prepaid to destination from Great Britain. Most letters for onward transmission were paid only to Hong Kong and the onward ship letter rate had to be paid by agents in Hong Kong. This item fetched US277 in an auction in January 2002. |
